3D shooting game for the sighted and the BLIND

To play the game, the player is equipped with a backpack containing a laptop, a GPS receiver, a head tracker, headphones and a modified joystick. By using both locative and directional sensors the software can continuously update spatial audio feedback to accurately reflect the user's position and direction in the virtual space, creating a kind of auditory virtual reality.

Talk about accessibility...cool eh?

I think this is a great idea due to the fact that their isn't really anything out there for people who are blind. It's kinda like they are alienated because they can't see. People who are blind also don't want to be treated as if they are handicapped. This seems to me as if this actually brings them closer to feeling more normal whatever that means. Mostly likely none of us are.

This is a very cool idea. I really like the idea that both blind people and people who can see are able to use it together. It's good to see them getting more and more chances to lead lives completely like everyone else. Just with more technology.
